Description
- Gold Coast Light Rail Project is Public Private Partnership(“PPP”) project to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a light rail public transportation system with 19 stations (20.3-kilometre) for 18 years.
- PPP contract was entered into in 2011 between GoldLinQ Pty Ltd. and the State Government of Queensland, Australia. Stage 1 Construction was completed in 2014, with Stage 2 completed in 2017. Currently both stages 1 and 2 projects are fully operational, and performing with high levels of reliability.
- This project is the centrepiece of the South East Queensland Infrastructure Plan and a key element in transforming the Gold Coast's public transport network.
